Pre-Bookable Appointments

We have a variety of routine appointments that can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance.  We operate an appointment system where we aim to offer patients the choice to pre-book appointments with the Doctor of their choice.

On the day Appointments

Appointments for the day are limited. There are some appointments for the day offered in the morning only.

These appointments are generally for acute illness and other health concerns.

Patients needing help and advice, or an an appointment should ring the surgery between 8:00am-9:30am.

We advise patients to call the surgery rather than attend in person. Often patients can stay at home and get the help they need. Patients attending in person may have a long wait. Priority is given to those in the most clinical need.

Our afternoon appointments are pre-booked appointments or for clinical emergencies only.

Need to see a GP or nurse in the evening or at the weekend?

Appointments are available for all patients registered at any Haringey practice.

  • Monday to Friday: 6:30 – 8:30pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 8:00am to 8:00pm

Contact your GP practice or call 0330 053 9499 during the above hub opening hours to book an appointment at one of three locations. Please note opening hours will vary between hubs:

  • Bounds Green Group Practice, Gordon Road, London N11 2PF
  • Somerset Gardens Family Health Centre, 4 Creighton Road, London N17 8NW
  • Queenswood Medical Practice, 151 Park Road, London N8 8JD

You can make an appointment if you are registered at any practice in Haringey. You will be able to see a local Haringey GP or healthcare professional. It may be someone from your practice, and if not, it will be another local GP, Practice Nurse or Healthcare Assistant.

Late Arrivals

If you are late for your appointment it will only be possible to see you in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the clinician. We have to insist on promptness for the sake of all patients concerned.

Although we try to run to time, sudden emergencies or patients requiring more time than allocated can cause us to run late. It you are delayed for these reasons your patience is requested. Remember: it could be you!


If you anticipate that you may require an examination by the Doctor and feel that you would like a chaperone to be present, please make reception aware at the time of booking your appointment so that this can be arranged. Alternatively bring along a member of your family or friend to your appointment.

Cancelling an Appointment

If you are unable to attend for your appointment we expect at least 24 hours notice, except in extreme cases, so that we are able to offer another patient the use of that appointment.

We have a STRICT policy for patients who regularly miss their appointments which may ultimately result in the removal of them/their family from the practice list.
